Binyam Hailu paused for a picture with a group of Fana Society Fellows when he visited Addis Ababa in 2005
In a meeting held by Society Members in Toronto in March 2007, the following decisions were made:
- Agreed on the newly suggested need based selection of Fana Society Fellows
- Agreed to increase the monthly allowance of each recipient from 30 to 50 Eth. Birr per month
- Decided to retain the same number of Fana Society Fellows (i.e. 12 students) as in the past.
