The Getachew Bolodia Foundation (GBF) is a non-political and non-profit making charity organization established in November 1994 in memory of Dr. Getachew Bolodia, who was Associate Professor of Biochemistry in the Faculty of Medicine, Addis Ababa University (AAU). GBF is particularly devoted to the promotion of higher education and research in Ethiopia. It supports gifted and needy university students through offering fellowships in the fields of medicine, pharmacy and science. It also engages itself in disseminating scientific information by organising seminars, workshops and public lectures . The Getachew Bolodia Foundation works closely with four partners shown below by administering fellowship schemes.

The GBF is pleased to announce a Stethoscope Loan Scheme to few selected interns of Addis Ababa University (AAU). AHEAD (Association of Higher Education for Development, www.aheadonline.org) has donated 15 stethoscopes for this purpose. Click here for more information
